![]() This is because my designs can be used as cut files and have to be in one layer to easily cut them out. So you can place it under the heart red circle. Since the heart is actually a hole to change the color you need to place a new shape under the heart and recolor this new shape. You can actually recolor the heart very easily, but not the way you expect at first. ![]() Some people find this disappointing because they want to make the heart red. So if you recolor the design, you will be able to recolor only the black part of the design. The heart and circle are not layered on top of each other. All white parts within my designs are cut out. I consider it important to draw attention to one fact. ![]() How the details are madeĭifferent people have different ideas and experiences. Only those formats you will use are left in your main bundle folder. I recommend creating a new folder for all file formats you will not use at that time, but maybe you will do so in the future. Let´s say the bundle has included 4 frames. So all file formats for the designs have the same number, only the suffix indicating the file type changes. Naming filesĮach bundle has included several different designs and I introduced naming files by numbers. So they are never bigger, and not even the 12 inches big. I always put this information in the product description so that you can check the size of the simple frame included in the collage frame.Īnd the whole collage frame is always designed to fit 12×12 inches layouts. But in some designs, I create pre-photo masks really irregular. I like to design my collage frames to fit commonly used photo sizes – 4×6 inches, 3×3 inches, 4×4 inches, and so on. I wrote a tutorial about introducing and using DXF files as well, you can find it here. You can learn more about using vector SVG files here. Always check the product descriptions to discover which file types are included in the bundle you want to purchase. *** I usually don’t include layered PSD files for simple rectangle or square frames that can be used simply by placing them over the photo.Again, you can edit these designs and make them smaller – but not bigger than they were designed. So one picture frame has 2 layers – the frame itself and the inner space usable as a photo mask/clipping mask. layered PSD files – raster shapes, and each part of the design are on a separate layer.Depending on the used software, you can change the color, add shade and make the designs smaller (but never bigger!) PNG files – simple flat raster pictures – these files are for most scrapbooking software. You can make vector designs bigger without losing the quality. Vector files can be used for digital scrapbooking unless you work with software that can read these file types. These file types are for laser cutting, used as cut files for home cutting machines like Cricut or Silhouette cameo. ![]()
